Hurricane update 🌬️

I'm currently evacuated out of town due to Hurricane Ida with my family. We are safe, but I'm not sure of the state of things back home. The roads into the city are blocked by debris or flooding. I'll let you know how things develop next week.

No essay this week. No challenge, either.

eBook update! 📘

The Kindle and ePub versions of Grokking Simplicity have been updated! They are readable! You can get them on Amazon or at Manning.com (preferred; use coupon code TSSIMPLICITY for 50% off).

If you previously tried the ebook formats, please try them again. Manning has done a good job of reworking the layout for small screens.

I still recommend the paperback version. Each page was painstakingly laid out to address a topic. E-readers do their own layout and have small screens. They are acceptable, but not ideal for this kind of book. Get the paper copy!

Whatever version you decide to get, authors live or die based on Amazon reviews. Please leave a 5-star rating and review on Amazon because it helps others find the book and it helps me sell it.

Pandemic update 😷

I know a lot of people are going through tougher times than I am. If you, for any reason, can't afford my courses, and you think the courses will help you, please hit reply and I will set you up. It's a small gesture I can make, but it might help.

I don't want to shame you or anybody that we should be using this time to work on our skills. The number one priority is your health and safety. I know I haven't been able to work very much, let alone learn some new skill. But if learning Clojure is important to you, and you can't afford it, just hit reply and I'll set you up. Keeping busy can keep us sane.

Stay healthy. Wash your hands. Wear a mask. Get vaccinated if you can. Take care of loved ones.
